A school project from my time at LASALLE College of the Arts.

The brief was to create icons using only alphabets, symbols and glyphs from Helvetica Bold, with the potential to develop them further into a campaign or promotional poster.

​

Inspired by Singapore's nickname, “Concrete Jungle”, the project plays on the contrast between a city defined by limited land, dense HDB estates and towering skyscrapers, and the unexpected fact that this tiny urban nation is also home to some of the world's most renowned wildlife parks.

 

The icons reinterpret Singapore's wildlife through nothing more than typography.
